The story of
Lee Anthony Sbardellati April 13, 1956 - March 30, 2024 Lee Sbardellati passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a lengthy illness, on March 30, 2024 at Kaiser Hospital in Moreno Valley, California, fourteen days short of his 68th birthday. Lee was the youngest of five children born to Dino and Vincenza Sbardellati of Orange, California. He was a graduate of El Modena High School in Orange, California, where he advanced his photography skills as a member of the yearbook staff. He also studied photography at Orange Coast College. Still in his twenties Lee took over the family painting contracting business. His company completed projects throughout Orange and Los Angeles County. He later changed careers and worked in the film industry as a production assistant and assistant director and was a member of the Directors Guild. He finished his film career doing lighting and camera work for Moo Studios on stop motion animation. Lee possessed an extraordinary mechanical aptitude, was a skilled photographer and enjoyed assembling and piloting remote control planes and boats. He was never happier than when he could spend time at the beach. Lee was a cancer survivor, Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma contracted in his teen years. The intense experimental treatment he received led to advances in chemotherapy. Lee was a passionate, dedicated and loving father to Isabelle and Nicholas and a beloved brother to his four siblings. He will be immensely missed by all. Preceded in death by his parents Dino and Vincenza and his daughter, Isabelle. He is survived by his son, Nicholas, former wife, Diane, sister, Carolyn Sbardellati Everett and her husband Victor Bourdon; brother, James Sbardellati and his wife, Andrea; sister Marilyn Sbardellati; brother, Richard Sbardellati and his wife, Susan, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
