The story of
1 / 1 On March 9th, 2024, Jacob Michael Baker (40), died suddenly, but safe, at home of heart failure. Jacob is survived by his parents John and Leasa Baker of Ogden, Utah; his beautiful daughter, Dalainee Baker of Colorado; and sister, Jennifer Adams of Roy, Utah. He is preceded in death by William Falon Spear, Anna Emma Spear, Michael Spear, Annie Baker, Delores Cadwell, Edward Carlos Calles, Pamela Hayes, and Sharon Eggars. Jacob was born on November 19th in Ogden, Utah. He attended school at Ben Lomond High School in 1999. and went on to become a talented building framer for a construction company out of Salt Lake City, Utah. He fell from a great distance thus ending his career in construction. Jacob welcomed his daughter, Dalainee Baker (13), with Amanda Eakins, in 2011. They now reside in Colorado. Jacob found most of his happiness with friends and family. He was an avid outdoors man. He loved to fish, hike, climb, camp, and shoot in his past times. He loved playing guitar with his dad and watching scary movies with his mom and sister every Sunday night. Jacob had a light about him, he was very witty and soft hearted. He loved to be the fun one, next-drink-on-me type of guy. He adored his dog, Penelton, and will reunite with him in the after. Funeral services have not been planned. The family will provide a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, April 13th at the VFW on 12th Street in Ogden from 6pm-9pm. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Dalainee Baker and/or the Ogden Animal Shelter.
